May Fun in the Middle Room!

Now that May is gone and we are in the final weeks of the school year, why don’t you have a look at some of the work that the children in 1st, 2nd and 3rd Class have completed?!

In Music, we learned all about the various genres of Music.  We learned many new words such as classical, traditional, electronic and jazz.  As part of the curriculum, we are encouraged to listen to these genres and respond to them.  The children listened to a piece of Music called “Space Smurfs” and drew some pictures!

We also revised the song “Let’s go Fly a Kite” which we learned for the Funky Kids Show.  We designed our own kites to integrate Music with Visual Arts!

The children wrote about their thoughts and feelings of Summer.  Most of the children love this season…

We created Lighthouse Scenes with waves crashing against the rocks!

We also had the opportunity to print using corks and created beautiful vases of Summer flowers for you to enjoy!
