Games Day

Each year just before the Hallowe’en holidays, we organise a games day. The children bring in €2 and a variety of Baord Games to play with in school with their friends. The money raised goes towards a charity of our choice.

We raised money for St. Vincent de Paul!

Last Friday, 11th November 2011, the children of Wandesforde National School presented a cheque to the sum of €120 to St. Vincent de Paul. The children raised this money through their annual participation in National Board Games Day. Mrs. Patty Owens from St. Vincent de Paul visited our school and spoke to the children about the work St. Vincent de Paul does for people in need in our country. We thank Mrs. Patty Owens for her time with the children and we hope that this money will help the charity in these difficult times.

Below are some photographs of the children with Mrs. Owens from St. Vincent de Paul.
