Halloween fun in the Junior Room

We’ve been learning all about Halloween this week in the Junior Room. It was our play topic and we enjoyed building spooky castles in the sand and small world, playing Halloween themed games and making things in junk art and playdough.

In Art we made Halloween Bats and after reading the book “Winnie the Witch” we made her black cat Wilber!

In Maths Senior Infants were learning all about the number 6 and created Monsters with 6 arms, 6 legs, 6 teeth and 6 eyes! We all made some Halloween patterns as well.

Our topic in Science has been touch. We learned to describe how different things feel and coloured in the things which we can touch.

On the last day we made rice crispie spiders. We had to mix chocolate and cereal and give them eyes and legs, and then eat them! Yummy!!

Happy Halloween everyone! 🙂
