During the first week of September, the Junior Classroom have been busy preparing “Cat Masks” to support Kilkenny in the All Ireland Hurling Final this Sunday, 9th September. We had great fun modelling our cat masks …. ….parading down the street with our cat masks on and best of all waving our cat masks at traffic passing outside the school gates!! Good Luck…

Good Luck Kilkenny from the Junior Classroom!!

On Friday, 2nd September 2011, Junior Infants, Senior Infants & First Class made their own Liam McCarthy Cup and waved the Kilkenny Colours to the traffic passing through Castlecomer! The children really enjoyed the acknowledgement they received from passing traffic. Hurling

We have hurls in our school as well as helmets and lots of sliotars. Brian O Ni Brien coems in to our school every second year to teach us hurling.  He teaches us skills, how to hit it and how to pick up the sliotar.   We play games after we practise our skills and hitting…
