Christmas Fun in the Senior Room!

December certainly has been busy with lots of activities completed by the senior pupils this month. At the beginning of the month we baked delicious brownies.

In English we read all about polar bears and wrote up some facts that we learned.

In Gaeilge we were focused on the topic ‘An Nollaig.’ We learned the poem Oíche Nollag and illustrated around it listening to the instructions in Irish.

We also learned about the Jesse Tree in Religion. A Jesse Tree  tells the story of God’s relationship with the world up until the birth of Jesus. Each symbol represents a story from the Old Testament and each star represents a pupil in our class.

We were busy in art class too. First we painted these frosty winter trees.

We made these wreaths using tissue paper and bells made from glitter. We also made our own baubles to hang on our trees at home!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from 4th, 5th & 6th Class!
