Green Fingers!

In 1st, 2nd and 3rd class, we planted cress seeds…

We placed the cress near sunlight and watered the seeds each day.  One pot was not watered and remained covered to show that plants needs sunlight and water to grow!

We also checked our vegetables in the garden of our  school in Castlecomer.  Here is a very small parsnip!

  1. Lovely photographs, especially the photo of the whole classroom together holding their pots of cress seeds so jubilantly. I’m really enjoying this blog, the kids tell me about their cress seeds etc but I tend to get a one sentence report, lovely to see all the photos and it will be a fabulous archive for them to look back on in years to come.

The cress seeds are already growing and they look delicious to eat in salads, I enjoyed planting them and seeing them grow.
