We’re Back with a Blast in the Junior Classroom!

A New School Year has started again and the Junior Classroom have started off the year as “Superheroes!”

Can you recognise them in their Superhero City below?

Our Junior Infants have settled in well to life at big school!

All the Senior Infants have taken on the role of classroom leaders very well too!!

We have been busy learning new letters in English. We made our own “Spirally Snakes” to support our work on the letter “s” this month.

In Art, the children took a line for a walk in various ways to create such colourful artwork!

They also created their own clay piece which has the first initial letter of their name on it.

In SESE, the children enjoyed listening to the story of “The Town Mouse and the Country Mouse” and following a lot of discussion we made our own marvellous mice!!

The children were given a job each to help out in the day to day running of our classroom in SPHE.  They all traced around their hands and arms to create a display showing their “Helpful Hands!”

In Religion, we decorated our own fish which we sent as a symbol of Jesus to the Mothers’ Union stand at this year’s Ploughing Match. Didn’t the children do a lovely job!

Well done to all the children- it’s been a great start to a new school year 🙂
