September has been busy in the Junior Classroom!

Junior Infants, Senior Infants and First Class have been busy this September!

To begin with, all the children started off  the year as Superheroes and Princesses!

We then supported the Kilkenny Team with our Liam McCarthy Cups!

During the month, we learned the letter “s”  so we made our own “Scarecrow Paper Bags”

In Irish and English, we learned about “The Gingerbread Man” so we had great fun designing our own “Buachaillín Sinséir” in art.

To celebrate Autumn, the children made their own Paper Plate Mouse after learning the poem “I think mice are rather nice”

Finally, the children made their own Handprint Autumn Tree. Who would ever think that paint on hands could make such beautiful art!!

Wow, the Junior classroom has been working hard and learning lots! I love that display with the princesses and superheroes – it really is fabulous and that red dragon really does look ferocious – which superhero is fighting it?
Lovely the way art is being used now to complement learning in so many other subjects.

  2. Davina says:

Spiderman, Superman & Batman are all surrounding that red dragon! There are very brave superheroes in that scene and of course the princesses are very brave too 🙂

  3. Marylou says:

Thank you Marylou for posting a lovely comment on the children’s work in the Junior Room. The children were very excited this morning to see their work up on the website and also to hear all the reponses that have been made to their artwork:)
