October Spooktacular Fun in the Junior Classroom!

Another month has come and gone and once again the Junior Classroom have been hard at work!

In English, we learned a lot of new letters. We made our very own Paper Plate Indians for the letter “i”.

and Colourful Cupcakes for the letter “c”

In History, the children learned about the Aboriginal Culture and painted Australian Animals using cotton buds!!

We studied the season of Autumn and made some “Autumnal Trees” in Science.

The children listened to the musical piece “The Aquarium” by Camille Saint Saens and responded to it by drawing a picture representing the music.

In Gaeilge, we enjoyed learning Halloween words through games and rhymes. We particularly enjoyed learning the rhyme “Oíche Shamhna is Bairín Breac”. Of course we had to sample some barn brack just to appreciate the rhyme!!

We also has a Halloween Dress Up Day in school. The children really enjoyed showing off their fantastic costumes to all their friends in school 🙂

The children also made their own clay spiders and egg carton bats in Art.
