February Fun in the Junior Classroom!

Another month has come and gone and the Junior Classroom have been busy once again!

At the start of the month, the children paid a visit to the Firestation in Castlecomer in support of work they have covered in Geography on “People who Help Us”

The children enjoyed learning all about the equipment on the fire engine and they particularly enjoyed sitting at the front of the fire engine!

A Big Thank you to Philip, Richie and Willie for a great tour of the Fire Station. The children really enjoyed their morning there!

During the month, we celebrated St. Valentine’s Day. Take a look at the  “Love Bugs” and Valentine Postcards the children made!

As well as this, the children made their own Heart Butter Cookies as a little treat for their loved ones on Valentine’s Day 🙂

In English, the children revised many letters of the alphabet. In support of the letter “C” the children made their own “Colourful Clowns”

The children worked with clay in Art this month and made some Slithery Snakes!

In Music, the children enjoyed learning songs about “Teddies” They brought in their favourite teddy to show their friends too!

The children drew pictures for the Annual Texaco Art Competition! Here is a glimpse of some of their entries!

In Maths, the children learned about 3D Shapes and made their favourite 3D Shape!

Finally, in SESE, the children explored the theme of “Farming” and designed their own farmyard scene!

Well done Junior & Senior Infants on a great month’s work 🙂
