Autumn has flown by in the Junior Room!

We were excited to be back in the Junior room after the summer holidays. We welcomed 4 new pupils to Junior Infants this year. We have certainly been busy in September and October, here are some of the things we’ve done.

In Art we drew pictures of our summer holidays, made autumn squirrels and colourful autumn trees. We also cut out autumn leaves to make a collage.

In SPHE we learned all about ourselves and our families.

Self Portraits and family selfies.

AsĀ  well as doing art for autumn we learned lots about this season, going on a nature walk to spot signs of autumn all around us.

We also learned all about foxes, Juniors coloured in fact cards about them while Senior Infants wrote up what they learned.

In maths Junior Infants have been working on matching activities as well as topics such as taller and shorter.

We enjoyed a production of The Railway Children in September as well as welcoming Heritage Expert Paul who taught us all about making things from willow.

Finally our play topic was The Supermarket. We had fun making groceries from play dough, building supermarkets and role playing in the supermarket.
