April with 4th, 5th & 6th Class

We have been quite busy in the past month in the Senior Room. In geography and science we looked in detail at different rocks and how they were formed.

We examined examples of different rocks, many thanks to the girls who brought in limestone, granite, marble, sandstone etc. It was great to see all these different rocks and wonderful fossils.

In art we created distorted stars with rulers and coloured in with metallic pencils. We have also been looking at the country Japan and made these bright cherry blossoms with egg cartons.

We wrote up information that we learned about Japan, it is very different to Ireland!

We recently looked at 2D shapes in maths and made these shaded shape pictures.

4th class wrote all about their houses in Irish.

In history we discovered all about the Industrial Revolution in Britain and looked at the lives of children at this time and the work they were forced to do.
