A New Year in the Junior Room

September has been a fun and busy month in the Junior Room, we worked on various skills like cutting and drawing, going outside to practice some of these.

We discussed our Class Rules and coloured pictures of them.

We were learning all about ourselves and how we are growing up in SESE.

We discussed the many different people who make up our families and drew family portraits.

Senior Infants are continuing to learn Tricky Words, we went out to practice some of them with chalk. They were also busy working on matching skills in Maths and went on a hunt around the classroom for objects that go together such as paper & crayons, teapot & cup, doll & pram etc.

In art we drew pictures of our summer holidays and painted bright backgrounds to go with self portraits we created.

Finally in RE we learned our School Prayer and made pictures thanking God for school.
