A Busy May in the Middle Room!

The month of May has been filled with lots of fun and games in 1st, 2nd and 3rd Class!  After our Easter break, we wrote about all the fun things that we got up to…

In Irish, we learned all about “An Teilifís” and the children drew their favourite programmes…

In Geography, we looked at Ireland as a country and the many geographical features it has.  We discussed the beautiful places to visit throughout the country and the children depicted their favourite places…

In Visual Arts, we looked at the life and works of Claude Monet and the children recreated their own Monet inspired paintings…

We also created “Lighthouse Scenes” in Art…

Can you see who’s looking through the window?!

On Thursday, 23rd May, 1st and 2nd Class went on their school tour to Rathwood and The Chocolate Garden.  We had a great time learning about how chocolate is made and got to taste 4 different types of chocolate.  We then made our own bears or dinosaurs and decorated them.  It was great fun!

We wrote about all the fun things we did back at school…

While we were away, the 3rd Class were having fun and doing lots of Art with Mrs. Kenny….

After their school tour on the 30th May to Dunmore East Adventure Centre, they wrote up reports about all they got up to!

Well done on all your hard work this month boys and girls!
