2014 starts off with a bang in the Junior Classroom!

The Junior Classroom have started off 2014 with a bang! Look at their handprint fireworks below to celebrate a New Year!

In Art, the children enjoyed looking at and responding to the work of Georgia O’ Keefe and in so doing created their own flowers in appreciation of her artwork! Didn’t they do a fantastic job?

We learned all about Winter in Geography and had great fun designing our own mittens for the 3 Little Kittens!

In Science, we made our own owls to support work we covered on “Nocturnal Animals”.

Did you know that otters and toads are nocturnal animals?

In Maths, we had great fun playing Bingo with our classmates using our School’s Bingo Machine!

Finally, in Gaeilge, we have been learning all about “An Aimsir”. We made our own “scáthanna báistí” in response to the work of the Dutch artist,  Piet Mondrian.

Well done and thank you to all the children for their hard work again this year!
