We raised money for St. Vincent de Paul!

Last Friday, 11th November 2011, the children of Wandesforde National School presented a cheque to the sum of €120 to St. Vincent de Paul. The children raised this money through their annual participation in National Board Games Day. Mrs. Patty Owens from St. Vincent de Paul visited our school and spoke to the children about the work St. Vincent de Paul does for people in need in our country. We thank Mrs. Patty Owens for her time with the children and we hope that this money will help the charity in these difficult times.

Below are some photographs of the children with Mrs. Owens from St. Vincent de Paul.

So nice to see the children learning about Charity. And as they say Charity begins at home. The Vincent de paul is such a worthy cause. Well done to all the children in your efforts of fund raising.

Thanks for your lovely comment Pearl. The children in the school enjoy supporting different charities and helping others too 🙂
