There is still a picture of the old school on the Castlecomer website so I thought I’d post it here for everyone to see and remember and just observe the contrast in the two buildings! The school was initally housed in the school hall on the left, then the 2 prefabs were built in the 1960s and in about 1977, the third classroom (that which is jutting out to the right) was added when Wandesforde and the Colliery schools amalgamated.
