Our First Library Visit in 2012

On Wednesday, 18th January, the Junior Room visited the library in Castlecomer for a storytelling session and also to choose some new books for our classroom library! We really enjoyed listening to the storybooks written by Oliver Jeffers, especially the story of “The Incredible Book-Eating Boy!! Thank you to Mary Morrissey in the library for reading us the stories!

We also enjoyed sitting down and choosing books to bring back to our classroom!

Our classroom library is now full of new and exciting books for us to read over the next few weeks!!

Visits to the library are great, we haven’t been in ages (been reading Harry Potter for months!). Great photos too. Mary is a great librarian and still does the Thursday toddler group I believe which my 2 used to love.

Harry Potter books are great and so are the films! I really enjoy going to the library with the children in my classroom as it introduces them to such a wide variety of books not available to them at school and it also highlights to them how important books and reading is in our lives 🙂 Thanks for leaving a comment!
