Sports’ Day Fun in the Sun!

On Friday, 17th June, we had a wonderful sports’ day filled with exciting, challenging and a few silly races! First up was the sprints. Infants had to sprint 20 metres, 1st, 2nd and 3rd had to run 40 metres and 4th, 5th and 6th had to run 60 metres! After that was the hurdles. Then we had the egg and spoon race! We finished with the sack race and the three-legged race! Let’s have a look at some of the fun things that happened on the field today! Ready, steady, go!

We then had to have a nice ice-cream to cool down after all that hard work!

It was soon time for the award ceremony, where all children were presented with certificates for their efforts in swimming over the past 8 weeks. Well done boys and girls! Each child also received a medal for their efforts on sports’ day. 6 pupils received a trophy for being a great sports girl/boy throughout the year, showing a great attitude, teamwork and enjoyment when playing games. Well done to Oscar, Kayla, Áine, Karol, Theo and Ariana! We hope you all enjoyed sports’ day 2022!

Have a great Summer everyone!
