Sports’ Day 2013!

On Tuesday, 18th June, all the children participated in Sports’ Day.  From the word ‘go!’, the emphasis was on having fun and enjoying the whole day.  The first race was the sprints.  The Infants ran 20 metres, 1st and 2nd ran 30 metres and the senior pupils in 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th class ran 60 metres!

Next came the hurdles, with the same distance for all classes.  We have some talented athletes in this school!

Next we had the egg and spoon race….steady hands……

It was then time for a well-deserved ice cream!

After break, we had the sack race…

And finally, we had the 3-legged race….Some children ran it all, without falling…

Others had a little tumble….!

We finished off a lovely day by having our prize-giving in the GP room.  Each child received a medal for their wonderful efforts on Sports’ Day.

Well done to the following children who received trophies for their huge efforts on Sports’ Day as well as being super team players throughout the year.  Well done everybody….
