Our End of Year Service

On Tuesday, 21st June the school held its End of Year Service in St. Mary’s Church, Castlecomer. The children in 6th Class coordinated the service alongside Rev. Burke and once again some pupils in the Senior Room performed some well known hymns for us on their tin whistles. The Sixth Class pupils read prayers, bible stories and a very apt poem entitled “Dream Big”

At the end of the service, 6th Class were presented with a Bible and a signed card from the whole school to acknowledge their time at Wandesforde School. We wish them all the very best as they move on to secondary school!

The school also said goodbye to 2 pupils leaving us this year in other classes. We wish them every happiness in their new schools!

Thank you to Rev. Burke for coordinating the service and to the teachers, staff and pupils for all their hard work in preparing for it. Have a lovely Summer Break and we will see you all back at Wandesforde soon!
