Our End of Year Service 2017!

Wandesforde National School held its end of year service yesterday, 22nd June in St. Mary’s Church, Castlecomer.  It was a happy and a sad occasion in one, saying goodbye to staff members and a great 6th class who will no longer be with us next year.

First of all we had a presentation to Mrs. Kay Murtagh who was our learning support teacher.  We thank her most sincerely once again for all her years of service and teaching in the school.  Rev. Patrick presented her with a gift from the Board of Management.

We also had a presentation to Mrs. Carmel Doyle, our SNA who has worked with us over the past 2 years.  We thank her for all her help and support in Wandesforde National School.

We then presented all the 6th class pupils with Bibles and cards, signed by teachers and their classmates.  We wish them the very best as they move on to the various secondary schools.  They will be greatly missed!

We wish you all a very happy Summer!
