Merry Christmas Everyone!

Christmas is here and the children of Wandesforde National School have had a busy term with lots going on! Check out some of our photos from 2nd and 3rd class!

In SESE, the children did a collaborative project on Irish mammals, including foxes, squirrels, red deer and hedgehogs! They researched their diet, habitat and behaviours.

In English, we wrote acrostic poems about Winter and Christmas, with lots of wonderful vocabulary, verbs and nouns…..

In Visual Arts, we looked at silhouettes and created these deep sea pictures with lots of amazing sea creatures…

We had fun making personal snow-globes and Christmas decorations for our classroom which can then be brought home for our houses!

We made snowy outdoor scenes…

In Religious Education, the children made guidance fish…

We also drew some festive Christmas pictures…

We were so proud of the children performing their Christmas Nativity Play “Superstar” in St. Mary’s Church on Tuesday, 17th December! Well done boys and girls!

Santa paid a visit to the school afterwards and gave us all some treats! Thank you Santa!

Merry Christmas Everyone and a Happy New Year to you all!
