Cool Constructions!

As part of the Visual Arts Curriculum, the children in 1st, 2nd and 3rd class have been working in groups to create a construction of their choice using rubbish!  Without any help at all, the results were very impressive and are on display in the school corridor for all to see.  The children in 1st class created a “Rocket” using a bottle, cardboard, plastic and paint….

One 2nd class group made a “Turtle” using egg cartons, cardboard, yoghurt cartons and paint….

Another 2nd class group made the “Titanic” using cereal boxes, toilet roll inserts, cardboard, lids and paint….

And finally, the 3rd class pupils created a “Crocodile” using cereal boxes, egg cartons, cardboard, kitchen roll inserts and lots of green paint….

Well done boys and girls.  From lots of rubbish, great constructions were made!

  1. They are all wonderful – hard to pick a favourite – love the eyes on the crocodile, the funnels on Titanic, the lumpy shell of the turtle and the colour of the rocket. I wouldn’t like to have to pick out the best – looking forward to seeing them on 22nd

  2. Great Work Middle Room! I think they are all cool constructions! It’s amazing what you can make out of recyclable materials 🙂

  3. Thank you Lorna and Davina:) The boys and girls really enjoyed the challenge 🙂
