Vintage Fun!

On Thursday, 4th October, the children and staff of Wandesforde NS, welcomed Bishop Michael Burrows to the school.  Bishop Burrows had a busy day travelling around in vintage cars to raise money for the Bishop’s Appeal and all the work they do for people in other countries that are less fortunate than us.

We decided to dress up in vintage clothes to support the Bishop in his endeavours!  From the following pictures, you can see the variety of clothes and the efforts the children (and their parents!) went to, to be suitably attired for a vintage themed day!

We all sang a song called “Sing a song for Harvest” for the Bishop, parishioners and parents who also turned up to support this cause.  We raised a total of €200.  Thank you very much to everyone who supported this fun day!

The outfits are great and it looks like they had a fun day. I note the Bishop wasn’t dressed up though 😉

Many thanks for sending home the photo of all in the Senior classroom with the cup – lovely momento to keep and for parents to see :0)
