Team Hope Shoebox Appeal
The children of Wandesforde National School, Castlecomer, have been busy over the past few weeks filling lots and lots of shoeboxes for children in poverty-stricken countries worldwide as part of Team Hope’s Christmas Shoebox Appeal. A total of 42 shoeboxes were collected and filled with various treats, toys, gloves, hats, scarves, colouring books, pencils and crayons. A huge thank you to all the children who brought in a shoebox and to the Mums and Dads who helped pack them. The shoeboxes are now on the long journey to Africa and Eastern Europe where they will, hopefully, bring a smile to the boys and girls who receive them.

Lovely photo of the whole school. My 2 always enjoy shopping for the toys and other bits for the shoeboxes and imagining the little boy or girl who might be receiving it.
