New Year and plenty of cheer in the Senior Room!

We have been very busy during the month of January, we’ve enjoyed having Mr Chadwick as well as Ms Power teaching us. Take a look and see all the different things we’ve completed so far this year.

To begin with we reviewed 2016 and wrote up our New Years Resolutions for 2017.

In Gaeilge our topic was ‘An Aimsir.’ We looked at different weather based pictures and wrote up what was happening in each.

In Art we created our silhouettes, can you guess who’s who?!!

We also created our own sports jersey.

In Geography we have enjoyed learning lots about Greece including their climate, food, plants and culture.

Our topic in Science was Boglands of Ireland. We looked at all the diverse plants and animals found there. Did you know Ireland contains 50% of Western Europe’s Boglands?

Finally in English and History we have been learning all about The Irish Famine in the 1840s. We read the novel Under the Hawthorn Tree which was set in famine times. We also found out lots about this topic in History and completed a class project based on the topic.
