June Fun & Activities in 1st, 2nd & 3rd Class!

June has been a busy month in 1st, 2nd and 3rd Class!  We have been enjoying the sunny weather and have been busy writing Summer Acrostic Poems.  Some of the poems rhymed, others didn’t, but the children worked very hard, using their imagination to create them!

To celebrate Fathers’ Day on 16th June, we made photo frames with our pictures in the middle.  We hope the Dads in our class had a well-deserved rest!

The children made their own animals and characters out of clay.  They painted them and varnished them to give them a shiny finish…

The children have also learned to complete a simple runner stitch and created very nice designs using hessian and wool.  Don’t they look great?

Have a great Summer break, from all the pupils in 1st, 2nd and 3rd Class!

Hope you have a great break as well Susan – we loved the picture of Kate holding her sign as well as all the other Father’s Day pressies – all pride of place on the kitchen noticeboard 🙂

Kate is going to miss you!!
