Merry Christmas from 1st, 2nd and 3rd Class!

We have had a very busy month preparing for Christmas in 1st, 2nd and 3rd Class!  We have had lots of fun along the way too!  On 7th December, we went Carol singing in the Discovery Park!

The children performed their Christmas play “Superstar” on Tuesday, 19th December.  They did a wonderful job!

We wrote letters to Santa Claus in English and went to the post office to send them.  We even got a reply from Santa at this busy time!

In English we read a poem called “Jack Frost in the Garden” and decorated our poems.  We learned all about nouns, adjectives and verbs as we read it.

In Art, we coloured festive candles…

We also made clay decorations as presents for our family and friends…

Santa came to visit on Thursday, 21st December with lots of goody bags for the boys and girls …

In Geography, we looked at the country of Brazil and completed a mini-project on this beautiful place.  We wrote about places to visit, things to eat, famous footballers and the Olympics that were held there in 2016.

We also created these colourful masks to reflect the vibrancy of street festivals and parades in Brazil!

In Geography, we learned about the weather and integrated what we had learned with Music.  We created these bright rainmakers that make the sound of the rain once turned gently!

We hope you all have a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year!
