May Madness in the Middle Room!

The school year is certainly flying by and May has been so busy, after returning from the Easter Break.  When we came back, the children put their wonderful painting skills to work and painted their happy memories from the Easter Holidays…

In Literacy, we wrote a report about the events that filled our break!

In Visual Arts, we focused on the strand of clay and the children had the opportunity to create coil pots and other wonderful creations.  Here is a before and after picture of their work!

In Music, we learned a song about a Beluga Whale and then created our own designs on Whales to brighten up the corridor and classroom!

In History and English, we looked at the Book of Kells which is kept in Trinity College, Dublin.  We looked at examples of pages in the book, the art and work that went into it and then we coloured in pages from the Book of Kells and displayed them!

Well done boys and girls on a great month’s work!
