Here Comes the Summer!

The Junior Classroom have been busy exploring many topics over the past couple of weeks in preparation for their Summer Holidays!

In Art, the children did a simple weaving activity using lollipop sticks and magic wool to create some colourful butterflies!

We have been learning about garden birds in SESE and the children made their own colourful and imaginative birds too!

In Maths, the children enjoyed learning about money and they made their own money trees using coin rubbings!

Who said that money doesn’t grow on trees?!

In SPHE, the children enjoyed learning about their feelings and emotions. They did a simple drawing activity using different colours and lines to show how they are feeling!

In response to work covered in Music and SESE, the children made their own seahorses using paints and colours.

In History, the children drew pictures to recall their memories of their school tour to Croke Park and Viking Splash. Didn’t they do a fantastic job!

The children made their own “World’s Best Dad Trophy” to give to their fathers on Fathers’ Day this June!

Finally before the holidays, the children took part in a Class Summer Colouring Competition.

Well done Junior and Senior Infants on all your hard work before the Summer Holidays. Have a lovely Summer Break and I’ll see you all back at school on the 30th August!
