Farewell to a Wonderful 6th Class and Sports’ Day 2021!

Last Thursday, we had fantastic weather for our annual Sports’ Day in Wandesforde National School! The day started off with simple races such as sprints and hurdles!

The egg and spoon race was a lot of fun!

We then had a few challenging and fun races that resulted in a lot of giggles and falls!!!!

We had some chips and ice-cream to eat on the day!

We had a graduating ceremony for our 6th class pupils. Each child was presented with a card with special messages and a Bible presented by Rev. Edna Wakely.

We had some delicious chocolate cake!

Each child in the school received a gold medal for their efforts on Sports’ Day!

Awards were also presented to 6 pupils, 3 boys and 3 girls, for their sporting abilities, positive attitude and teamwork!

Congratulations to these two 6th class pupils who are our “Overall Best Achievers” for outstanding work and effort throughout the year!

We wish all our 6th class pupils the very best as they leave Wandesforde National School after 8 years! You will all be greatly missed! Wishing you all the best as you begin a new chapter in your lives in the various secondary schools that you will be starting in very soon!

Have a wonderful Summer everybody!!
