December Delights Us!!

The Junior Classroom have been getting ready for Christmas in lots of different ways this December!!

We recycled some old Christmas Cards to make some decorations for our Christmas Tree.

We also designed our own 3D Christmas Tree Decorations which we hung around our tree!

We also made a little Christmas Photo Frame for our families which had a picture of us all in our Funky Kids Costumes!

In Music, we made our own maracas out of a light bulb and toilet roll holder using the layering method of Papier Maché!

The children also participated in an In-Class Colouring Competition. Well done to Gráinne and Conall who won Best Boy and Best Girl Entry!

We also made our own reindeer out of more toilet roll holders!! Aren’t they very cute and they even have their own bell!

In Science, the children have been learning about all the materials around us. Take a look at the Material Boys and Girls they designed!

The children really enjoyed learning Irish Christmas Vocabulary through games this month. They made their own “Crainn Nollag” too!

In English, the children have learned many new letters. We made our own “rockets” to support work on the letter “Rr” this month.

Finally, we baked some Toffee Mallow Krispies together. Everybody was given a job to do and we then brought our treats home in our own Handmade Christmas Cone.

Happy Christmas Everyone and we’ll see you all in 2013!
