Back to School Fun in the Junior Classroom!

This September, the Junior Classroom welcomed 12 Junior Infants to our school. They have all settled in very well to school life and have worked so hard during the first month in “big school!”

In SESE, the children made and modelled their own Cat Masks in support of the Kilkenny Hurling Team!

In SPHE, the children have being discussing the topic of “Growing Up”. They brought in photographs of themselves as babies and we discussed how much they have changed and grown up since then.

In Art, the children printed their own handprint onto a paper plate which they decorated with foam and mosaic pieces!

During September, the children have learned many new letters and sounds in English. They met the letter “Aa” and so they made a lovely colourful display of Autumn Apples!

We also designed our own Teddy Bears using pieces of felt when we were learning about the letter “t”.

In Gaeilge, the children have learned to say lots of phrases like “Mise ____”. They drew lovely pictures of themselves too!

We also made our own Leaf Puppets out of Recycled Toilet Roll Inserts and we gave them all their very own name to make them extra special!!

Well done to Junior and Senior Infants for all their hard work this month!
