April brings showers of fun in the Junior Classroom!

Another month comes to an end and the Junior Classroom have been very busy doing lots of exciting work with their student teacher, Ms Kathy Ryan. During the month the children explored the theme of transport and made their own vehicles too!

After the Easter holidays, the children drew some pictures to give us a snapshot of the activities they did over their Easter break!

In Art, the children made their own slippery snails out of old CDs!

The children did a Church Trail in St. Mary’s Church to support work they covered on the Church in Religion.

They also made their own cross out of clay and metallic paint too!

In support of work covered on the Life Cycle of the Bee, the children made their own life cycle wheel.

They also had great fun trying on Ms. Ryan’s father’s bee suit and seeing a real honeycomb!

I think we might have some bidding beekeepers in our midst!

In English, the children revised the letter “c” Β and made their own colourful crowns πŸ™‚

The children also visited and explored the Discovery Park Β to find various aspects of Spring which they have been learning about in SESE. Here are a few photos of the children on their Nature Trail!

In support of the work they covered on Spring, the children printed some Spring flowers using plastic bottles!

After a great month’s work the children enjoyed a short visit to the playground in the Discovery Park.

Well done everybody on a great month’s work! πŸ™‚
