Amazing April Work with 4th, 5th & 6th Class

Although we are only in school for two weeks of April we have been busy in the Senior classes! In science we looked at different water birds found in Ireland. We had fun looking at videos of gannets diving into the ocean. We also learned about Mute, Whooper and Bewick’s Swans, cormorants, oystercatchers, dunlins and herring gulls.

In art we made Easter Wreathes using bright pastel colours to paint them.

In English we wrote acrostic poems based on the word SPRING. Here are our poems on display in our classroom.

We think the mums in our class rock! With this in mind we made characters from rocks for our mums for Mother’s Day.

We have also enjoyed playing basketball with our coach Joe Byrne for the past number of weeks.

It’s game time!

Great work Seniors! I really like your Mother’s Day craft and I’m sure your mothers did too 🙂 Happy Easter to you all and enjoy your well deserved break 🙂

The rocks were brilliant – my two are proudly displayed on the mantelpiece. Loved the cards too – thank you 🙂

Well done to everyone in the senior classroom for the wonderful coffee morning yesterday. They were all so efficient and courteous and so keen to do well. A credit to you all.
