A Merry Christmas from the Middle Room!

We have had a very busy month in 1st, 2nd and 3rd Class in Wandesforde National School. Have a look at all the wonderful things the boys and girls have been up to….

We had a visit from Niamh, a scientist with Anyone 4 Science and she talked about electricity with the children….

In English, we wrote Acrostic Poems entitled “Christmas”.

In Visual Arts, the children enjoyed making Christmas Stockings and decorating them…

We also decorated Christmas Jumpers.  Don’t they look very festive?!

The children enjoyed creating colourful Christmas trees using bright colours on a snowy background…

On Thursday, 20th December, we had the pleasure of welcoming Santa Claus into our classroom. Although he is very busy at this time of the year, he still managed to get his photo taken with the children in our class and gave us all a treat too!

The children in 2nd Class learned about symmetry in Maths and created Christmas symmetry pictures…

Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
