The Junior Classroom have started the New Year off on a great note! In History, the children made their own Class Resolutions and drew pictures to illustrate them!!
The children also completed a worksheet on their hopes for 2017. Many of the children hope to try eat new foods and also try new things this year!
Following the Christmas break, the children explored their senses in Science and completed a worksheet depicting their senses at Christmas!
In Art, the children made their own penguins out of toilet roll inserts. Did you know that there is a penguin called the Macaroni Penguin! He has a crazy hairstyle so you may recognise him in our photograph below!!
The children have been learning about the uses of Water as well as places where water is found. We learned a poem called “Water” and the children drew lovely pictures to illustrate the poem.
In support of Literacy, the children visited the local library for a storytelling session and also got the opportunity to pick some new books for our classroom library.
The children took part in an Art competition for the local pantomime “Jack and the Beanstalk” Didn’t they do a great job designing a poster for the fairytale!!
Finally in Maths, the children made a 2017 calendar for our classroom which they designed and coloured themselves!!
