A Special Assembly
On Thursday 13th October, Wandesforde National School, Castlecomer, held a special assembly for Canon Thomas Sherlock and his wife Hazel. Canon Sherlock is retiring later this month. The children sang a lovely song called “Living and Learning” and presented Canon Sherlock with a book full of drawings and messages which they had completed over the past few weeks.
We also presented Canon Sherlock with a painting of an Autumn Scene.
When our assembly was finished, we had a photo taken outside with all the children.
We then got to eat some delicious cake and other treats! We wish Canon Sherlock and Hazel a very happy retirement and we hope they will come back and visit us at some point.
