February Fun!
The Junior Classroom have once again been busy this month. In Gaeilge, the children have been learning all about “An Aimsir.” Look at their lovely drawings below showing different types of weather.
In History, the children have been learning all about The Vikings who invaded Ireland on long boats from Scandinavia in the 700s. To support the work covered, the children made their very own Viking helmets and family shields.
Wandesforde’s Fierce & Frightening Vikings!!
Take a look at their Family Shields below!
The children listened to a piece of music called “Rise of the Valkyries” by the German composer, Richard Wagner in Music and drew pictures showing their own interpretation of the music.
February 14th was Valentine’s Day. In preparation for this special day, the children made their own hearts and had great fun learning to weave wool around the edge of them. We hope all the Mums and Dads liked their handmade heart of love!
In Art, the children painted their own rainbows using cotton buds instead of paintbrushes!!
Finally in Religion, the children have been learning the story of Noah’s Ark. They all chose an animal to colour and display on our very own Noah’s Ark!
Well done Junior Room for yet another month of hard work 🙂
