Green Schools Update!!

We continue to work hard on the topic of Biodiversity and the Green Schools Committee ran an art competition during February to promote awareness of the topic. There were fantastic and creative entries from all rooms, thanks to all for your participation. 🙂

Well done to those pupils who won their catagory!

We also had a visit from Eileen Canny, a scientist who spoke to us all about biodiversity in our local area. We had an interesting morning looking at a stag’s antlers, blackbird and green finch nests and different types of bees found in Ireland.

Eileen also presented the competition winners with their prizes. 🙂

Wow! Great work. I can’t believe you got to play with dead bees and antlers. Exciting stuff.
