November News in the Infant Classroom!

We have had yet another busy month in the Junior Classroom. In Art, the children drew a portrait of another member of their class. Didn’t they do a great job?

Can you guess who is who?

This month, the Whole School started the “Food Dudes” Programme. We have had great fun tasting and eating fruit and vegetables every day and we are all feeling and looking stronger too! In support of the work covered on Keeping Healthy in Science, the children designed their own “Food Dude Figures” by filling them with plenty of fruit and vegetables!!

In English, the children made their own “Handprint Hedgehogs” for the letter “h” and they also learned about “Hibernation” too!

Did you know that ladybirds and wasps hibernate in Winter?

The class visited the library this month for a storytelling session with Mary, the librarian. They also got to pick out some books to bring back to our classroom library!!

The children learned about Friendship in SPHE. They made their own “Friendly Flowers” and also coloured in words to describe what makes a good friend!

Do you recognise all the friendly faces inside our flowers?

Finally, the children made their own “Shapely People” by tracing around 2D shapes in Maths.

Well done to all the children for all their hard work again this month! 🙂
