April Activities in the Junior Classroom!

Although April has been a short month after the Easter Holidays, the Junior Classroom have once again been hard at work!

In SESE, we planted our own sunflower seeds which are now growing so well in our classroom. Very soon, we will be able to bring our seedlings home to plant in our gardens!

In support of the work we covered in Science, the children drew their own sunflower in Art. We hope our sunflowers will look as bright and colourful as our drawings!!

In Music, the children have been learning lots of songs about different types of birds so in response to all their work, they created their own “Birds of Paradise.”

They particularly enjoyed learning how to fanfold the paper to make the birds’ wings!

We learned all about positional language in Maths & English this month. The children engaged very well in a listening & drawing activity based on prepositions!

We also went on a Nature Trail in the Discovery Park this month. The children engaged so well in finding all the aspects of nature on their worksheet.

While we were on the Nature Trail, we stopped off at the Elf Village!

We saw their homes…

their School…

the Elf Headquarters….

and of course their Sweet Shop!!

At the end of our Nature Trail, the children spent a short time together at  the Timber Tumbles Playground!

Finally, in preparation for Summer, we painted our own Spectacular Summer Suns to brighten up our classroom!

Well done again on a great month’s work!
