Irish

Irish is taught to all classes. We encourage the children and teachers to speak Irish in an informal way throughout the school day. We are promotiing the use of Irish with Seachtain na Gaeilge and we sent out some phrases for all parents to use with their child to develop their oral competency in the language.

Spring is here again and the boys and girls in 4th, 5th and 6th Class wrote all about the signs of spring as Gaeilge!

10th March 2011 – This week’s Stars of the Week were awarded to Abbey, Lisa and Emma for speaking Irish at every opportunity they had for Seachtain na Gaeilge. Well done girls.
