Christmas

Christmas is a busy time at the school. We send the Christmas shoeboxes in November, we are then busy practising for our Christmas play and Carol Service, sometimes we go carol singing or have a Christmas fair. We also have a Christmas party and Santa comes and if we are good, we each get a goody bag.

We are having a very White December in Castlecomer this year but we all made it to our Carol Service. Each Classroom sang a song and lots of parents and grandparents came to the service.

We would like to thank Imelda Ward who played the organ for us.

We would like to thank Canon Sherlock for taking the service.

The collection was for the Kilkenny Carlow Home Care Team.

And we would like to thank the teachers for helping us to practice all our carols and songs so well.

Wandesforde Christmas Fair

Glanbia in Castlecomer were holding a craft fair on 13th December and Wandesforde School had a stand at it. The whole school made some Christmas decorations out of clay and painted them. We also made Christmas logs and decorated them with holly and a candle.  Olga Kerr picked holly to sell. Some pupils helped to sell items on the day.
